BREED STANDARD

This gorgeous breed should on appearances be
Serviceable, with a refined chiselled head.

They should have strong well boned legs and be
Well up at the shoulder.

They have compact sturdy bodies,

Wide muscular hind quarters, and they
Must be well balanced.

Their heads should rounded, but not domed or flat.

They have a broad muzzle which should be Deep and square,  with even jaws.

Coat: on head, short and fine, on the body it
Should be medium length, with enough under
coating To give protection, Ears, Chest, Abdomen and Legs should be well feathered, but not so
excessive as to hide the body's lines or to impede
movement and function as a working gundog.

Texture is most important. The coat must be silky,
flat or slightly wavy, excessive coat, or curly,
woolly or cotton texture is very undesirable.
